European TMR Network on

Quantum Structures (QSTRUCT)

Contract Number FMRX - CT96 - 0077

Welcome to the homepage of the QSTRUCT TMR network. The network activities started on 1 September 1996 and finished on 31 August 2001 after one year extension. Details of the achievements can be found here in the section 'Objectives and Achievements' and in the final report which is available in PostScript and PDF form (see section QSTRUCT reports). Related work is now continuing in the IST network QUANTIM. For further information, please, see the QUANTIM web page.

The aim of the QSTRUCT network was to comprehensively investigate quantum features of self-organising systems and trapped ions. This incorporates quantum correlations in optical patterns and in ordered arrays of ions and atoms. The programme of work is funded by the Training and Mobility of Researchers (TMR) scheme and comprises seven European research groups over a period of four years (plus one extension year) beginning 1 September, 1996.

QSTRUCT REPORTS

Since the size of the QSTRUCT reports is growing exponentially, the files below are gzipped postscript files. If you do not have an automatic gunzipper and postscript viewer on your browser, just click on the wanted report while holding the "Shift" key of your computer. This will transfer the gzipped postscript file on your computer that you can then gunzip and read at your pleasure.
